Diplomas :
- Ph. D. Thesis (2005) : Chronologie et interprétation paléoclimatique des fluctuations des glaciers dans les Andes de Bolivie depuis le maximum du Petit Age Glaciaire. University of Grenoble, France
Scientific activities related to the LMI Great Ice :
Glaciological processes: mass-balance, surface energy balance
- Glaciology: mass balance measurements (ablation stakes, accumulation pits/drilled cores) and surface energy balance (automatic weather station on the glacier surface).
- Topography: lenght, surface area and volume variations using terrestrial measurements (DGPS, LIDAR) and aerial measurements (photogrammetry), and glacier thickness measurement using GPR.
- Dating using lichenometry: moraines dating to reconstruct Little Ice Age glacier fluctuations.
Optical remote-sensing and glaciology
- Glacier retreat since the mid 20th century.
- Mass balance reconstruction from the equilibrium line altitude.
Impact of glaciers on the hydrological regime of high-mountain watersheds
